San Jose Sharks Las Vegas reviews
Great season for the Sharks, this game not so much
There's no way to fairly review a single game in an 81-game season. It's always a disappointment to drive 300 miles round trip to see your team lose. The Sharks are having an excellent season, leading their division, and were coming off a 6-game win streak. My take was that they dominated the first period, but then could not get either the bounces or the intensity needed to handle the surprising Oilers. We chose this game for the chance to see Connor McDavid, one of the best players in the world, and the man who gets a great deal of credit for the fact that Edmonton should make the playoffs for the first time in years. He's an amazing skater, and very good on the defensive side, although his only goal was an easy empty net tap-in. We know going in that any individual game can go either way, and Team Teal has won a significant majority of the dozen or so games I've attended over the last 15 years, so as a sports contest, without regard to the outcome, it was exciting and fun for me and my grandsons and their wife and girlfriend.
